Living guitar legend Richard Thompson is in good company: he joins the likes of B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton as one of Rolling Stone magazine’s Top 100 Guitarists of All Time. In fact, Rolling Stone calls Richard “the greatest guitarist in British folk rock.” This prolific musician and songwriter is so highly regarded that he was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2011. His guitar tone is instantly recognizable and is known for its fluidity, dexterity, and raging speed combined with heart-wrenching emotion. Caramoor is very proud to present this BBC Lifetime Achievement Award winner on July 14.
